Shopify B2B theme app blocks wholesale: prices ride the shared embed; registration and bulk need a block on the right template. Enable alone shows nothing.

Shopify B2B theme app blocks: enabled is not the storefront

The registration form is On. Tier-2 prices are in the list. A private window still shows retail, or a blank page where the fields should be. A Shopify B2B theme app blocks wholesale search is that gap: the app is configured, the published theme is not. Not a second SKU. Not a broken sync. A missing embed or a block on the wrong template.

OO - EU B2B & Wholesale is one app, several modules. The module map splits the storefront in two: a shared app embed for some modules, a theme block on a given template for others. The hub switch is first. Finish setup is second.

Yesterday’s piece was which collection feeds the bulk form. That is the product source. This is the theme: registration, prices, tax exemption.

On in admin is not a pixel on the page

Shopify keeps app settings in the app. It keeps blocks and embeds per theme. Changing theme leaves forms, prices, and visibility intact. The extension does not travel. That is Shopify’s model, not a defect.

From the same map:

Shared app embed — Custom Pricing, Volume pricing, Tax display, Login to see prices, Order limits. One embed, several modules. Without it, net prices and “login to see prices” stay in admin.

Theme block on a template — Bulk forms, Quote request, Wholesale cart, Registration forms. Those belong on *that* page. A registration block on the homepage and an empty `/pages/apply` is the usual miss.

Every module card has Finish setup. Save the theme. A block on an unpublished theme does not count. The dashboard reports Product Page Active and Bulk Order Page Active for bulk. No Active, no storefront — even when the form is On.

Four ways the form “vanishes”

On, not saved. The editor was open. Someone left. Docs: added but not saved, or added on the inactive theme.

Block on Default page, page on another template. `/pages/trade-apply` exists. The block sits on Default. The page uses “contact”. Correct URL, empty canvas.

Drawer snippet only. EU Tax Exemption in a slide-out cart needs both the Theme Editor block `OO – EU Tax Exemption` and `<div id="ooTaxExemption"></div>` in the drawer file. Snippet alone: no logic. Editor alone: empty drawer. That pairing is in the drawer article. A dedicated `/cart` page only needs the Customize block.

Theme swap on Friday. Prices and tags survive. Registration and bulk do not. Re-add the embed and the blocks.

None of those is: Finish setup per module, the right vehicle, then a tagged customer in a private window — not staff.

Prices on the embed, forms on a block

OO - EU B2B & Wholesale is Built for Shopify (5.0, 34 reviews). Live listing: Free (1 custom pricing rule, 1 registration form + approve/reject; no caps on development stores). Starter $22/month or $220/year: unlimited custom and volume pricing, company blocks for those prices, unlimited registration forms, EU Tax exemption (VIES + logs), tax display incl/excl, login to see prices. Growth $37/month or $370/year: + bulk forms, draft checkout, repeat order, quote/RFQ, order limits, wholesale cart extra fields/fees. 14-day trial on Starter and Growth. USD.

Where each piece lands:

Registration — a theme block on the apply page. Free allows one active form; extra forms you switch on are stored, but the storefront uses the oldest active. Starter lifts that cap. No block, no fields, even with the right tag.

Prices — the shared embed. Custom Pricing (Free: one list) and Volume pricing (Starter). The Starter plan also lists company blocks for custom + volume price. Login to see prices and tax display live in the same embed family, Starter.

Tax exemption — Starter. Dedicated cart: Customize → Cart → Apps → `OO – EU Tax Exemption`. Drawer: editor block plus the snippet. VIES and the tax-exempt flag were the checkout VAT article. This is only whether the field renders.

Bulk, quote, wholesale cart — Growth, and each one is a block on its own template. Bulk order page: create the template, assign the page, add `B2B Bulk Order Page`, then a menu link. Order limits (Growth) ride the shared embed instead.

Do not claim this replaces Shopify Plus B2B / Companies. It is an OO layer on the theme you already run.

Walk-through: lighting, apply page plus hidden nets

Store: retail pendants and a trade list for electricians. Registration at `/pages/trade`. Custom list T1 on tag `trade`. VAT exemption for DE numbers. No bulk form yet — Growth comes later.

  1. Hub: turn Registration forms on. Finish setup. Theme editor → that page’s template → Apps → registration block → Save. Test signed out.

  2. Custom Pricing: list T1, tag `trade`. Shared embed on the published theme. Skip the embed and approved buyers still see retail.

  3. Starter: Tax Exempt on. Cart page gets `OO – EU Tax Exemption`. Skip the drawer snippet if you only use `/cart`.

  4. New theme next month? App config stays. Embed and block do not. Dashboard should read Active again.

Staff view lies. Use a private window as that customer.

Do this in order

  1. Install OO - EU B2B & Wholesale. Enable only the modules you need this week.

  2. Finish setup on each card. Embed for prices and display. Block on the *correct* template for registration (and later bulk).

  3. Save the published theme. Confirm Active.

  4. Test signed out, then as an approved buyer. Not as staff.

  5. After a theme change, put embed and blocks back the same day. Config survived. Pixels did not.

Collections and visibility tags belong in the other posts. Without a block there is nothing to see, collection or not.

Close

Shopify B2B theme app blocks wholesale are not another app. They are why `/pages/apply` is empty while the hub says On. Embed for prices, tax display, and login-to-see-prices. Block on the template for registration, bulk, quote, and wholesale cart. A theme change keeps the configuration and drops the pixels.

Put the block on the published theme of OO - EU B2B & Wholesale. Then the buyer sees the form you already switched on.
