A distributor wants Net 30 on €8,000 of stock at their net rate. Your checkout still opens Mollie. If they pay retail on a card and you refund the difference, you have neither wholesale nor terms. If you type a draft order every Monday, you have terms and no self-serve catalogue. Shopify wholesale net payment terms is both: they order at the group price, and the card is not the gate.
Yesterday’s piece was the registration form builder. Group rates live in B2B pricing per customer group. This article is payment timing: what native Shopify will do, what OO - EU B2B & Wholesale lists as Net terms, Draft orders, and Manual orders, and how that sits next to tags — without inventing a due-date engine the docs do not describe.
Shopify Payments is a list of methods, not a per-tag calendar. Plus merchants can use B2B payment terms on companies. That path is real. Mixed D2C + wholesale shops on Basic, Grow, or Advanced usually keep ordinary customer accounts. There is no admin toggle “tag Distributor_EU → Net 30”.
What you *can* do natively: draft orders with an invoice URL, manual payment methods, hide cards for some customers. It holds until you have forty accounts and you are still the person who types the SKU list.
Terms on the wrong price is a delayed retail invoice. A group price that still demands iDEAL is a wholesaler who will not order. You need the rate and the delay.
A weekly draft, prices keyed by hand. That is terms as a job. The listing already names Draft orders and Manual orders under order management. It does not mean you become the price list.
Charge the card, credit the difference later. Two movements, one confused buyer, no Net 30.
Manual payment on for the whole store. Consumers order on account. Tags are how you steer methods. General Settings lists a customer tag after VIES success for *controlling payment methods*. No tag, open till.
Promising Plus company terms on a non-Plus plan. Native B2B catalogues are limited outside Plus. The docs never say this app replaces that.
None of that is: approved wholesale customer, one group tag, one bulk-form price, then a path that does not force a card.
OO - EU B2B & Wholesale is Built for Shopify (5.0 from 33 reviews). $8.95/month or $101.88/year (5% off), 7-day trial, billed in USD. Custom B2B pricing, registration with approval, VIES / EU tax exemption, bulk forms, translations.
Net terms sits with customer groups, custom pricing, and tax exemptions. Manual orders and Draft orders sit under order management. That is the listing. There is no help article titled “enter Net 30 here”. Do not claim a dunning sequence, an ageing report, or an automatic due date. What *is* documented is pricing and tagging, so the draft you do send already carries the net rate.
How B2B pricing works: the Shopify product price stays put. The rate applies inside that group’s bulk form. One customer, one form. Overlapping visibility → the wrong form. Mixing percentage and fixed price in one form → odd totals (common mistakes).
An invoice at retail with “we’ll sort it” in the note is worse than a card at the net rate. Set the staffel first — tiered pricing setup.
Approval attaches the group tag. VIES can attach another — the docs’ examples: identify B2B, control payment methods. In Shopify you then hide cards for that tag, or show only a manual “pay on account” method. The app is not a bank. It hands you the tag.
Order-management drafts are you (or a workflow) creating an invoice. Use draft order logic under EU Tax Exemption is different: after a successful VAT check it builds a draft invoice instead of standard checkout, and it does not work with VAT-exclusive prices. Do not flip that switch because a UK distributor asked for Net 30. Tax mode and payment timing are separate knobs.
Retail keeps cards. Tag `Distributor_EU` sees 25% off on the bulk form, collection Spare parts, menu item only for that tag. They apply through the registration form; you approve; the tag lands.
Shopify Payments: “Bank transfer / on account” visible only with `Distributor_EU`. Cards off for that tag. Test in a private window as that customer — the admin session ignores visibility.
They fill the form, see the net total, complete without a card. You invoice on the contract you already signed (Net 14, Net 30 — that number lives in the contract, not in an undocumented app field). Reorders happen on the form. You stop retyping 25% drafts.
Two groups → two tags → two forms. One tag on both forms is the docs’ overlap mistake.
VIES remains optional. Exemption is whether VAT is due. Terms are when cash arrives.
Install OO - EU B2B & Wholesale. $8.95/month, 7-day trial.
Group, bulk form, one pricing strategy. Test as the tagged customer.
Registration with approval. Tag after review, never on the public form.
Shopify: payment methods by tag. Not a shop-wide Pay later.
Draft or manual as a safety net, not as the catalogue. Do not claim a Plus payment-terms replacement.
Enable the theme blocks for the bulk form; an enabled form with no block is invisible. Terms will not fix a missing price.
Shopify wholesale net payment terms is not a second PSP and not a hidden Net-30 slider. It is a group price on the bulk form, a tag after approval, then a Shopify method or draft that does not demand a card. Native checkout is pay-now unless you are on Plus B2B terms. This app lines up price and access; the listing puts net terms in that same row.
Set the group tag in OO - EU B2B & Wholesale and let the next distributor order on account — at their rate, not the shelf price.
