Shopify B2B order minimums and limits: Growth MOQ, max and weight on the bulk form so a sample line cannot take the trade price.

Shopify B2B order minimums and limits: stop one-item wholesale carts

A tagged buyer adds a single pair of trousers at your trade rate, checks out, and you still pick, pack and invoice. Anyone hunting Shopify B2B order minimums and limits is not asking for a prettier “€250 minimum” sentence. They want the wholesale cart to refuse the sample — or cap a fat-fingered 5,000-unit line — before money moves.

Plain Shopify (no Plus catalogue) does not enforce a wholesale MOQ on the cart. OO - EU B2B & Wholesale lists Order limits (MOQ / max / weight) on Growth, plus Order minimums / Order limits in the categories. Bulk forms live on that same plan. This is not a Shopify Plus B2B / Companies replacement.

Where the form sits is a different article: bulk order page vs product. Here the question is the floor underneath it.

Login and a tag will not stop a one-unit order

Customer tags, a wholesale login and a price group decide *who* sees trade pricing. They do not decide *how much* must sit in the cart. Without limits, B2B pricing is a sample shop. Plus merchants can attach quantity rules to a B2B catalogue — a different stack. This app is registration, group prices, a bulk form, and Growth order limits. Do not claim it replaces Plus catalogues.

Visibility (logged-in, tags, specific customers) is who. Limits are what may pass. A `Wholesale` tag with no MOQ still ships one unit at the break-pack rate.

What shops try until the sample order lands

A paragraph on the wholesale page. “12 units or €250.” Checkout does not read marketing copy.

Tiers without a floor. Starter volume discounts make 12 cheaper. They do not *block* 1. The listing keeps tiered/volume pricing on Starter and order limits on Growth.

Cancel-and-explain after the fact. You eat the pick cost and the conversation. The cart should have stopped.

Product pages only. There is no wholesale grid to hang an MOQ on. Recommended setup for wholesale stores wants a dedicated bulk page as the primary B2B path, tag visibility, a collection, one form per customer group. Order limits belong on that Growth layer.

None of those: Growth limits (MOQ / max / weight) on the form the reseller actually uses.

What the listing actually ships on Growth

OO - EU B2B & Wholesale is Built for Shopify (5.0 from 34 reviews). Live USD pricing:

  • Free — 1 custom pricing rule, 1 registration form + approve/reject, Flow templates; development stores uncapped.

  • Starter $22/month or $220/year — unlimited custom and volume pricing, unlimited registration forms, EU Tax exemption (VIES + logs), tax display incl/excl, login to see prices. 14-day trial.

  • Growth $37/month or $370/year — Starter plus bulk forms, draft checkout, repeat order, RFQ, Order limits (MOQ / max / weight), Wholesale cart (extra fields + fees). 14-day trial.

Listing categories include Order minimums, Order limits, Order form, Bulk processing, Draft orders, Product visibility. Stay inside that wording; do not invent admin screens the docs do not describe. No Growth, no bulk form, nothing to attach an MOQ to.

Form behaviour from docs: What is a bulk order form — many products or variants, quantities, one add-to-cart. How to create covers product selection, pricing, visibility, and separate Enable toggles for the product page vs the bulk page. Enabled is not visible until the theme block is on the template. One customer sees one form. Separate groups need separate forms and unique tags.

Limits sit beside that: MOQ (floor), max (ceiling), weight. Use them so a sample cannot take the trade price, and so a mistyped quantity cannot empty the warehouse on paper. Wholesale cart extra fields + fees (also Growth) are fields and fees, not a substitute for the MOQ.

VIES stays Starter, not Free. Registration and net terms follow their plans. They are not the CTA here. The listing URL of this app is.

Example: workwear, 12-piece floor, 200-piece cap

Retail stays on ordinary product pages. Approved accounts get tag `Trade`, a price list, and `/pages/trade-order`. Without a limit, a site manager buys one pair of trousers at the case rate. Branding and shipping wipe the margin.

Growth form: collection “Trade”, visibility tag `Trade` only, Enable bulk order page on, block on that page, nav link. Order limits as the plan names them — MOQ / max / weight — e.g. not below 12 pieces, not above 200 without a conversation. Test as a tagged customer: 1 unit fails; 24 passes; 500 hits max.

Need a looser cap for `Trade_plus`? Second form, second tag. Adding a tag in Visibility does not assign it.

Before go-live: visibility, prices, a real test order. The recommended-setup mistakes — All customers, forgotten navigation, mixed pricing rules — make an MOQ pointless if the wrong buyer sees the form.

Get it live

  1. Install OO - EU B2B & Wholesale. Built for Shopify, 5.0 (34).

  2. Registration, tag, B2B price (Free or Starter depending on how many rules). Bulk form = Growth.

  3. Dedicated bulk page, tag visibility, collection. Follow recommended setup.

  4. Set Growth order limits (MOQ / max / weight). Do not rely on product-description copy as the only gate.

  5. Test as a tagged customer: too small, valid, too large. No Plus claim. No other OO app in this post.

Close

Shopify B2B order minimums and limits are not a CMS disclaimer. They are Growth order limits — MOQ, max, weight — on the form wholesale actually uses. Native Shopify stops at tags and prices; Plus catalogues are another path. This app ties registration, pricing and the bulk form, and puts the floor on Growth.

Set the MOQ in OO - EU B2B & Wholesale before the next one-unit cart takes the trade price.
