FAQ Shopify – e-Boekhouden Integration

1. How often are the data synchronized?
   Data synchronization happens in real-time. As soon as an order or refund is created or updated in Shopify, it is automatically and immediately sent to e-Boekhouden.nl.
   Unlike other providers, we do not charge extra for this, and there is no waiting time. As a specialized Shopify partner, we believe direct and error-free synchronization should be standard—and we act accordingly.

2. Is the PDF invoice from Shopify also sent to e-Boekhouden.nl?
   No, this is currently not technically possible. Shopify does generate a PDF invoice, but it cannot be automatically sent to e-Boekhouden.nl. The integration works solely based on structured order data, not on files or attachments.

3. Do I need to synchronize products with e-Boekhouden.nl?
   No, this is not necessary. For booking transactions in e-Boekhouden.nl, products are not sent or used. The integration only processes the financial details of the order (such as amounts, VAT, and costs) and ignores product information.

4. Is stock synchronized with e-Boekhouden.nl?
   No, the integration does not synchronize product or stock data to e-Boekhouden.nl. Its focus is entirely on the financial processing of orders and refunds. Inventory management remains within Shopify.

5. Are credit orders (returns/refunds) also synchronized, and how does it work?
   Yes, the integration processes refunds from Shopify. When you partially or fully credit an order in Shopify, a corresponding negative transaction is automatically created in e-Boekhouden.nl. This ensures the refunded amount is correctly accounted for.

   ⚠ Important: Cancelled orders are not sent to e-Boekhouden.nl. If you want to process an order as a credit, do not cancel it—use the refund function in Shopify instead.

6. Can you help with setting up the integration?
   Absolutely! If you have limited time or prefer to leave the setup to us, we provide a professional installation service where the integration is fully configured for you.
   A one-time fee applies for this service. If you ultimately decide not to use the integration, this amount will be refunded.

7. How is the correct VAT applied in e-Boekhouden.nl?
   VAT in e-Boekhouden.nl is directly taken from Shopify. The integration copies VAT rates, exemptions, and VAT codes exactly as set in Shopify.
   When these settings are correct, the integration ensures VAT is automatically and correctly processed in your accounting.
